About
So often, the thought of therapy creates a vision of lying on a couch and spilling out your problems while the therapist attempts to solve the myriad of issues that present themselves. Therapy is not this; in fact, therapy is a deep dive into how the current status quo exists and how small modifications change it for good.
Some things you discover in therapy will feel unsettling, for sure. There may be days when you leave the session feeling like your mind is full of more unanswered and unclear questions than answers. While ‘sucky,’ it is entirely normal to experience these feelings!
Therapy is not about embracing the problematic things that existed previously but embracing the future of freedom from these limiting beliefs.
At times, the therapy process can be daunting as we look not only at the patterns in our relationships, but also how one slight difference can completely dismantle the “fragile balance” established between ourselves and others.
We are essentially breaking things apart to make way for alternative ways of connecting, interacting, and accepting ourselves in that newfound space.
There have been months of unhappiness at this point; otherwise, you would not be seeking help for it, right?
Let us blow it up and start over! Imagine a world where you are not in competition with the impossibly high standards set by someone else but tuning into the needs of yourself.
WOW! That makes for an exciting new chapter by you and free from the other stories you are perceived to be.
We are creatures needing to belong and accepted, but we often look to others to reassure that we are worthy of love, appreciation, fondness, etc.
We forget that we will never feel accepted until we accept ourselves. Once you recognize that no one else’s opinions matter except for yours is when you can truly step into that world where you know what is best. You can follow your instincts into the life of which you’ve always dreamed!
Hi, I’m Kelly, and I want to help you find that new life by identifying your strengths and the things you want to get right.
We start by focusing on what is working and picking that apart. How does it work? What needs to remain the same to recreate the right steps to move forward? And stop doing ineffective things.
Once we have a picture of what’s working, the stage is set. As you work through limiting self-beliefs, we can explore ways to change the response to the never-ending defeatist tale that plagues you.
